Through the analysis and finding report activities, first of all, I have learned different analysis data-collection methods based on different types of training, different groups of target audience and how much time is available. Analysis on the needs of learners and instructors also brought me into deep thought of what they really needs and what they are able to learn within a busy working schedule. The request of including objective from Bloom’s Taxonomy - cognitive, affective, and psychomotor refreshed my concepts of those three learning domains and implemented into the goals of training based my analysis findings.
Due the time consideration, I was only allowed to use direct observation and interview the learners and trainer for my task analysis. If time permitted, I would like to have a survey or questionnaire to collect more information for constructing the right training courses. Through the reading of the chapters of Rapid Instructional Design, learning different types of analysis including job, criticality, task, learning, audience, and delivery also helped me clarify different stages and criteria for analysis. I would definitely include the acquired knowledge and skills into the design of my lessons.
I do not know if your collection process was hindered by the weather but it has caused a lot of problems for me. I work at an educational institution that was closed all week.
ReplyDeleteI agree that a survey is a very effective tool to address the needs of the learners along with the needs and ideas of the person requesting your services. I am not sure what your project is but I assume that it is helping someone that you work with.
